Agua Viva is Different
Several years ago, Wesley was working in a garage as he looked for a fulltime job as a teacher. His path to earning his degree was a difficult one. In the middle of his studies, he had to pause his academic pursuits so he could get a job to help support his family. After completing his education, Wesley continued to work hard in the automotive sector, waiting for the time when he could put his degree to good use.
In 2019, after hearing from a friend about an opening at Agua Viva for a math teacher, he applied right away and quickly was hired. He told us, “It’s wonderful working at Agua Viva because the employees have a passion for God and their community. It’s such a blessing to know the Lord is meeting my financial needs in a place that I love.”
The spiritual guidance and encouragement that Wesley has received at Agua Viva from his colleagues has been refreshing, and he’s passed these lessons on to the students whom he mentors. Working from home during the pandemic has presented numerous challenges, but Wesley continues to make himself available to the students. He enjoys praying with them and helping them to make God-honoring decisions. “My desire is for the Lord to help me be a godly influence,” said Wesley.
